Wondering how one person cutting out meat on Monday can help halt climate change?

People used to ask the same question about recycling.

Each one of us can either be part of the problem – or part of the solution.

“More greenhouse gasses can be prevented by going meatless one day a week than by eating locally seven days a week.” Nancy Callan, member, Board of Directors of Earthsave

If you eat meat on a regular basis, going meatless on Monday is a good way to significantly reduce your greenhouse gas emissions*.

And share this information with your friends and family so they can reduce their carbon footprint and improve their health too!

*Depending on how indirect contributions are measured peer-reviewed estimates put animal agriculture as responsible for 10% to 25% of total greenhouse gas emissions, compared to 14% for transportation. (Although other estimates have been as high as 51% these values have not withstood peer review.)
